Snow Days Are Wonderful

See the pretty snowflakes Falling from the sky;
On the wall and housetops Soft and thick they lie.
On the window ledges, On the branches bare;
Now how fast they gather, Filling all the air.
Look into the garden, Where the grass was green;
Covered by the snowflakes, Not a blade is seen.
Now the bare black bushes All look soft and white,
Every twig is laden, What a pretty sight!

Life has been full of fun this month. Living in Ohio we almost had a blizzard (if the winds would have been higher it would have qualified for one). We were trapped in our home from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening, seventeen inches of snow fell in 24 hours and we were in a level 3 snow emergency.

We spent the weekend watching the snow, watching movies, playing games, cooking food. John kept a fire roaring ALL weekend. It was one of those those times you know the children will never forget and you enjoyed immensely just getting some quailty time with family something thats hard to come by when you have three children. As soon as our neighbor bulldozed us out John and Hillary both were out and gone, anxious to explore a snow filled world and visit others.
